We are accredited to approve all classifications and sizes of buildings including where alternative solutions are proposed to address fire safety matters. We are a member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and are accredited by the Building Professionals Board within the NSW State Government's Department of Planning.
Antony Ridgway is a Grade A1 (unrestricted) Certifier and Director of NewCert.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Building Construction Management - University of New South Wales. 1995 - 1998.
- Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying - University of Western Sydney. 2004-2006.
- Accredited Certifier, Building Surveying Grade A1 (unrestricted) issued by the Building Professionals Board for the State of New South Wales.
- Member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.
EMPLOYMENT/EXPERIENCE
Antonty Ridgway graduated from the Construction Management degree in 1998 and commenced working as Building Consultant at Rickard Hails Moretti in Drummoyne Sydney. During this period Antony gained experience in building diagnostics as well as acting as the Project Manager of major rectification projects to existing buildings.
He also gained extensive knowledge of the Building Code of Australia through his involvement with Fire Order upgrade works and insurance claims for defective building work.
Antony then worked as a building surveyor in London for two years where he successfully oversaw the planned and cyclical maintenance regimes of over 900 properties.
Upon his return from overseas, Antony developed his knowledge of the BCA further by completing a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying. He has been a building certifier in the Newcastle area since 2005.
Antony is presently a Grade A1 (unrestricted) building surveyor accredited by the NSW Building Professionals Board. Antony has extensive experience with regard to the certification of all types of buildings including hospitals, stadiums, aged care facilities, shopping centres, industrial, mixed use residential, offices, motels, schools and entertainment venues.
